The Great Victoria Desert
I am learning to make a slideshow on my "Desert Habitat" Activity.
I am so proud of being able to make this presentation because it helps with my learning on deserts in the world.
I found the research tricky because it was hard to find all of the information and put it in to our own words.
I found it better to work with Nicholas because he could help me if I made a mistake.
My next steps are to make presentations better.
My Peace Poem
I am learning to write a Poem about Peace One Day using my senses.
I am so proud of being able to describe what Peace feels like, tastes like and sounds like.
It can be tricky to find descriptive and interesting words to use in my sentences.
My buddy can help me by giving me some ideas.
The next step for me in my learning is to write another Peace Poem.

ANZAC Recount
Pitch Black
I knew the Turks were watching us. I could sense something horrifying was going to happen. I was sweating like a waterfall. There was adrenalin pumping through my veins. Suddenly there was a massive spark of light,I was in shock. It came from one of our steam boats.
The General yelled ‘’We’ve been EXPOSED!’’. There were people dying all around me. I was in one of the last Battalions. Suddenly there were waves of bullets whizzing past my head. I felt an incredible sharp pain in my leg. I was shot. It was painful. It was dark. I thought to myself…...what have I got myself into……
By Jackson
I am learning to write an interesting recount.
I am so proud of making my recount interesting by using similes and adjectives.
It can be tricky to the right adjectives for the right sentence.
My buddy can help me by checking my work.
The next step for me in my learning is to write an even better recount.
Peace One Day
As part of our Inquiry work on Peaceful Communities we have been learning about World Peace Day on September 21st. On Friday 19th September we held a Taster Shared Lunch with Rooms 19 and 22. We had to bring in a small sample of a food that we might eat at home as a family favourite or a food from our culture. This helps us to learn about each other’s cultures and about tolerance of others.
Percentages & Fractions Problem

15 divided by 5=3
15-3=12

I am learning to solve problems by using my understanding of the equivalence between percentages and fractions.
I am so proud of being able to work out percentage and fraction problems by myself.
It can be tricky to work out the answer.
My buddy can help me with this problem.
The next step for me in my learning is to do harder questions.

"Live, Work and Play Safely" by Heather Hammonds
Live, Work and Play Safely” by Heather Hammonds
Think about an activity that you do, or a sporting activity you belong to and make a list of the rules that members need to follow. For each rule, briefly explain why this rule has been put in place.
Rugby Union
The Rule is …..
|
Why this rule has been put in place…..
|
No HIGH Tackles
|
So no one is hurt or gets injured.
|
No Forward Passes
|
Because It is against the rules.
|
No ARGUING With The Referee
|
Because only the Captain can talk to the Referee.
|
No Shepherding
|
It blocks other players from tackling you.
|
No Distractions
|
Because you will get Distracted from the Game.
|
No Coming in from the side Ruck
|
Because you can get the ball easier and you can get injured.
|
This is an activity that me and my buddy did to show we understood the text that we read.It is about the rules of games.
